Auto Standby Mode feature in RS201e

Hi,

Once again I wish to bring to your notice to include a very useful feature that is auto stand by mode in RS201e.

I wish the device goes on to stand by mode automatically while not in use for a certain period of time or while there’s is no input for a certain period of time, This would help the users to queue and play so that once the Playlist is over the device goes to standby mode automatically after a while.

Kindly add this one ASAP

I have forwarded your problem to the software team.

  1. GMT 5:30 is said to be difficult to add due to a bug currently occurring.
  2. They said that the problem that the time is changed to the original state when the Rose device is turned off and on after manually setting the time is said to be fixed.
  3. We do have plan to add the feature that automatically changes to Standby mode if not used for a certain period of time, but we plan to add it in the future. We are currently planning to focus on stabilizing the device rather than adding new features.

I can give you a suggestion for the time. Time zone for the place called Karachi is GMT +500 thats the closest to my city Chennai GMT +530 So, you may try adding an option to add 30mins to the time zone selected, something similar to day light saving. It could even be a radio button on/off to add 30mins to the selected time zone. This will not only solve my purpose bur many out there who are looking for the existing time zone +30 minutes

GMT +530, is it so difficult to include this time zone in RS201e?
