Connecting Rose RD160 to RS130 with SFP USB

Nice thank’s for the clarification, since I already ordered it, I don’t need anything else in addition. We will probably use this cable to remove the wire and replace it with higher gauge pure silver, something like 22 AWG. At this price, cheap enough to do some testing.

Well the Amphenol arrived. It’s honestly way better than the 50x priced HDMI. I blind tested it with my son who picked it correctly every time. Thanks for the recommendation.

I am glad that you liked my little tip.
The cable needs to be burned, the mids, highs and the soundstage will improve after 10-15 days of operation.
Merry Christmas to all

I’ll leave it playing with the amp turned off overnight - that will help to accelerate the burn in process……right?

Yes, that’s how I do it too.

RS130 connected to RD160 via SFP USB port by means of a DAC cable type H!Fiber DAC SFP+ 10GB/s

Please notice that “DAC” in this case stands for “Direct Attach Copper” and not for digital to analog converter…

Notice also that this cable has a ridiculus price of 14 € and works so smoothly that is like an analog connection.

I can’t yet compare this DAC cable with the SFP optical wire (Finisar FTLX1475D3BTL + Cornin fiber) but I will make the comparison as soon as the Finisar will arrive at my hands (ordered just few days ago).

Will be interesting if someone else can try the H!Fiber DAC cable.

RS130 and RD160 via SFP DAC recommended by Patrice play continues for the last 5 days, I can confirm that RD160 is so much better than Weiss 204 in every way!

Weiss 204 will be moved to my office system.
