FIR Interpoation Phase Filter

Just curious what other user’s were setting their phase filters on?

I’ve been trying out most of them but seem to keep on coming back to the brick wall filter.

I’m comparing the Rose to other DAC’s in my system as well. OPPO 205 and Bryston BDA-3.

Hi, I think the minimum phase fast roll off is best overall filter but for rock and auqoustics I prefer the apodizing or brickwall filter, br Johan

cd players use brickwall. best for cd rips

Thanks guys for the reply. I was wondering if anyone was actually playing with these filters. I’m not sure everyone is even aware of these or where to find these settings.

So far I am still using the Minimum phase slow Roll-off filter. I will be playing some 192/24 files this weekend and will revisit these settings.

Can someone point me to a spot that has a description of each FIR filters?

Thx

I also have the 205 which has the same filters. I believe taste will depend on the rest of your system and what type of speakers you are running. I run electrostats and prefer the brick wall on the 150b, but the apodizing fast roll-off on the 205…

I currently prefer the minimal phase fast roll off filter. This sounds pleasant and is a good compromise to the sharp filters. But you have to listen carefully and have the time and leisure to hear the differences.

Should be Interpolation , not Interpoation. Also in the settings of app.
