Hi, I am not familiar with Eero. Hope others will help.
The Max.7 allows hardwired ethernet port for up to 9 gbps, I am wondering do you think I will benefit from using same configuration as you but plug into wireless router (eero 7) instead since I donât have access direct to modem
Sorry, really canât give you a positive reply. Every change alter sound quality in some ways. Whether the altered sound is good to your ears or not, it can only be judged by listening to it yourself.
However, fibre optics do eliminate unnecessary interferences and improve SQ. Thatâs been confirmed by many audiophiles. I heard the difference too.
Tom what is the brand or your FMC and LPS
LHY for FMC; LHY and KECES for LPS
I will try your same set up and see . Thank you
Youâre welcome. Good luck.
Hi gdp1045
Do your RS130 via the RSA720 recognize your Weiss DAC204 or do you use xCORE ?
Just curious - mine RS130 dosnât recognize my Weiss DAC204 and therefore use xCORE
Iâm in talks with my dealer to order an rsa720 because of the hype in the community talks. I never thought that adding that between the Rs130 and the Swiss 204 would be such a sound upgrade.
Weâll see how it goesâŚ
OK - but by the current connection you are using do the RS 130 recognize til Weiss DAC 204 ?
Oh yes, there was no trouble connection the rs130 to the Series 204. No problemo
I borrowed a DAC204 from my HiFi Rose dealer. The RSA720 has no problem recognizing it.
I borrowed a DAC204 from my local dealer for some other purposes. My RSA720 recognized it without a problem. Also, it does sound better to my ear via the hub than from the 130.
Well, your mileage may vary.
Tomt
Yes thatâs what they sayâŚ
I am ordering a rsa720 shortly to get that sounds benefit.
Ok - and it say it has found a Weiss DAC204 ?
Them I have a problem. I can only gâet it to work using the USB DAC and choosing xCORE USB Audio 2.0 in the USB DAC menu. . . .
I returned the DAC204 to my dealer. I remembered it was what it called when connecting to the hub. Any other 204 owners help confirm it?
My RS130 doesnât recognize 204 either, it does say USB , but nothing plays so I use coaxial output. But, RSA720 arriving next week, so maybe it will be even better !
@Bicycle Heads up I had to update the firmware on my RSA720 to get it to âworkâ with my Holo May DAC. I see from other threads that @ROSEHAN mentioned another firmware fix maybe coming. Youâll need to request the firmware and use a PC to push the firmware to the RSA720. If you need any help Iâm happy to DM. Hopefully, the one you receive has the latest firmware and this is a non-issue.
Hi Bicycle Thanks for your response. I have same problem no matter using the RSA720 or connecting the DAC directly til the RS130. I have to select xCORE USB Audio 2.0 in the USB DAC setup to get to work. I have requested the SW update from Hifi Rose and it just arrived today. SO I will look into installing that this weekend. Hope that will do it. Iâll let you know when itâs done.
