New Product? RS451

Exactly, there are a couple of videos on YT that cover the RS451, which means they had an embargo on releasing reviews. This is typical.

My disappointment is that their own site wasn’t updated to add the product at the same time when they lifted the embargo. So for example… if you have an embargo to stop any review releases or discussions before Sept 1, your website should update at midnight on Aug 30th or just update on Aug 30th so that your site has the data for 24 hours in place just prior to the embargo being lifted. That way someone hears about it… sees the reviews and can go to the vendor for detailed information.

You aren’t very good at reading comprehension, are you?

I don’t use internal storage in Rose so it’s moot point anyway, nothing you could stream to it would saturate even a 100Mb connection.

Oh some connectors on the front panel.

So while this is just hitting the US and rest of the world…

This was out in Korea 4 weeks ago.

The interesting thing… you can take this and pair it w something like Orchard Audio amps. Definitely a trade off from the RS520 for around the same price. Like that its now BT 5.4 XLR out …

Guys, is that important that a new product is not on the web site? really, some comments read like lovers being cheated. C’mon what’s the difference between seeing the product on YouTube or in a promotion by a dealer ,and not in te web site, and if so, are you all planning to buy it?. Ih HIFI rose is such an horrible company please sell you gear and go elsewhere. On the other hand, you guys have a lot of free time.

and what is the BIG problem?

Dear HiFi Rose users

We are currently experiencing production issues with the RS451, resulting in a delay from the scheduled shipment date.

We currently anticipate that shipments will begin sequentially in countries where orders were placed on September 17th.

We typically announce new product announcements when they are shipped to each country.
This is because even after we ship, it takes approximately a month for our distributors to receive the product.

We will notify you as soon as possible.

The problem is that the product gets announced by YTers rather than the company and there is no info on the company website.

Even still you should announce the product and provide information when you set an embargo.
The fact that your Korean site has had the info for a couple of weeks…

This way we know what’s coming down the pipe.

Its also interesting to see that you’ve gone w an embedded WiFi and BT so that you will not really upgrade the wi-fi bt dongles.

yes, I undesrtand, , but it is just a piece of hardware, I am sure the company will update the site soon. What I am pointing out is the shouts and cries for something that is not so important.

We will notify you as soon as possible.

Sorry, but I think you’re reading too much into my posting here.

This wasn’t announced at all and then you have dealers dropping videos.
Its kind of backwards.

It would have been better if they had promoted the product and then talked about price and when it will ship.

It seems like a nice piece of kit and could either pair nicely w active speakers or w monoblocs like Orchard Audio.

@Smegel

From now on, We
will try to reflect your advice.

One suggestion…

Do you have brand ambassadors? Basically fans of the products to help to promote the products locally?
I’ve seen this with other brands.

The last thing we “audiophiles” need is more people promoting products that don’t work. If your turntable or CD player or cassette deck didn’t work you would return it in a heartbeat. But somehow these digital music servers get a pass because the technology and software is “complicated.”

While some here come to complain about products not working…
What I’ve seen are the following:

  1. Many have trouble navigating thru the menus and getting the settings right.
  2. There have been a few units w issues that needed to be returned under warranty.
  3. Some complain, but when they go thru and do a full reset after the upgrade… it works.
  4. Some buy but then have buyers regret because it doesn’t sound like they expected it to sound within their environment and component stack.
  5. Sometimes the issues tend to random and not easily repeated.

For the most part, the products work as advertised. Are their quirks? Yes. Are there issues? Yes. With anything that has an OS, there’s bound to be issues. So I don’t see that anyone is giving anything a pass.

And again this is where brand ambassadors can help.

Not every product is right for everyone.

Brand Ambassadors can help here.

Smegel.

I completely agree. Hi Fi Rose’s best asset COULD be its user base. We all want the best for our equipment. To make this work, Hi Fi Rose would need to make a commitment to treat its users a little better.
I have four Rose products and overall I’m really happy with them but like a parent and his/her child we always want them to do a little better.

Yeah…

I went over to the RS130 posts and while the one user had returned his unit… I looked online at the back side of the RS130.

Its quite possible that there was some user error. But now too late to try and figure it out.
