Tidal playlists

Hello,

Why when I play a song from my playlist in Tidal does it not continue playing other songs in the same playlist. Instead it stops but I have gapless playback enabled. Also pressing the shuffle button within the sub menu where the album artwork is displayed it shuffles and play songs from all my playlists rather than just the one I want to listen to.

Also when I select the Add a song to play next it doesn’t actually play that song next it plays a random song in the playlist. The Queue options are very confusing. For simplicity can we not have the same options that are given in the actual Tidal app just a play next button. All the option in the Rose version of Tidal are so confusing.

I really hope you guys listen to everyone and add Tidal connect option/ ability. If you do implement Tidal connect will that be an OTA software update or hardware update?

Lastly, why is all output source volumes preset -5db? Is there a reason for that and is it okay to turn them up to 0db?

Thank you for you time and help in this matter.

Hello,

Why when I play a song from my playlist in Tidal does it not continue playing other songs in the same playlist
→ In ‘My Playlist’ of TIDAL, if you hope to add the whole playlist to your queue, touch 3 point menu and ‘Add to the end of the queue’.
If you hope to empty the queue you were listening and add a new playlist, touch 3 point menu and ‘Empty the Queue and play from here’.

pressing the shuffle button within the sub menu where the album artwork is displayed
→ That’s strange, you mean the button here, right?
If you touch this button, all the songs in the album is added to your queue in shuffled order.

Also when I select the Add a song to play next it doesn’t actually play that song next it plays a random song in the playlist
→ In your ROSE CONNECT APP > Setting > Music Options > Music play options
Select the mode that you are familiar to.
Also, I’m sorry but no plan for TIDAL Connect yet.

Is it okay to turn them up to 0db?
→ It doesn’t matter unless you hear any noise.

Thank you for your help.

What pre out level setting should I use on the RS250 with my Marantz AV8805 Preamp and Emotiva XPA Gen-3 9channel power amp? I am using the RCA unbalanced output to my Marantz pre amp.

When would/should I use the lower 8 bit correction of 32 bit sound?

What does software volume control do?

Thank you so much for all your help and sorry if these are silly questions. It’s my first HIFI Rose.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR X

Hello, I searched Marantz AV8805 Preamp manual and found input sensitivity.
Seems like it would be great when you set Pre-out level setting as 200mV ~ 300mV (Unbalanced)

About the 8bit correction of 32 bit sound, as the discription in ROSE device says, some DACs may generate noise when playing a 32-bit sound source with a high sampling rate. For this case, the lower 8 bits are compensated to reduce the noise.
If you have no noise, do not turn on.

Software volume control is for the users who use external DAC but hope to control volume from ROSE device.

Thank you for your help. I have tried it on 200mv & 300mv and its extremely quiet, I have tried 2000mv and seems to be better…not sure if it’s safe though and not sure how the Pre-out level setting actually works to be honest.

Also I have found, in the Rose App, when in Tidal and on a playlist I have created, why is there no ability to search within the playlist like you can on the official Tidal app? It would be very helpful to be able to search songs in my own playlist rather than scrolling through 100’s of songs to find 1 song :disappointed:

Lastly, under Tidal Home, Recently played, any playlist I select only shows a few of the songs in the playlist for example I have 846 in my Chill out 1 playlist and it shows me 10/846. Please see screen shot attached.

Hello,

The input sensitivity of the amplifier is a condition for the amplifier to produce the maximum output.
If the level of the source is less than 600mV, the amplifier will not produce the maximum output.

Conversely, even if a signal with a level greater than the input sensitivity is input, the amplifier’s amplification level is reduced and there is no problem in use.
However, if you put in an input greater than 600mV and raise the volume of the amplifier to the maximum, clipping will come out, so just be careful about this.

  1. Searching in My playlist
I will check Tidal API and check with development team.

  2. 10/846 tracks in recently played (TIDAL)
I will check this with development team.

Thank you.

Yes, currently there is no way to search for songs in My playlist. Please see if this can be added as I said scrolling through 100’s of songs is not ideal.

Also when scrolling through my playlist it takes time to load songs, unlike the Tidal and Spotify app which preloads all the songs thus being able to scroll smoothly. It just feels slow and laggy and not very premium.
