Rosehan,
I see what you are saying. Yes, in answer to your No 1 that is what I meant. Assuming that it’s not easily done to go directly to the station/3rd party app can we at least have a setting which in effect adds a selection (simulated screen press) once the the title at the top of the Rose device is displayed? That would be easy to program and could be simply implemented. You would also probably have to add a one half second delay before the command is executed to allow for screen loading.
We’re halfway there already because the station will start playing music even though the title at the top of the Rose screen hasn’t been manually selected. Surely, since you have already programmed the music to start playing without selecting the title at the top of the Rose device display you can incorporate an additional command to display the radio playback/application screen.
Rosehan, thank you for your consideration of this request. This request is a part of my desire to allow the user to achieve the most desired results of actions with the fewest commands. In the case of radio stations, most users are trying to get to the station playback screen. In the case of applications, the user is trying to get to the application’s full screen, not an intermediate location which requires an additional step/screen press.
My goal is what I believe all good programmers should strive for:
1 The choices listed on a screen should be highlighted and prominent in the order of most selection. Eighty percent of the people will make one choice. That choice should the most prominently displayed on the screen.
2. The fewest number of selections should be required to get to what most (80%) of people want.
In keeping with those two “good programming” rules one click from a list of radio stations should get a user to the radio playback screen.
