De 5x20. Als je de stekker eruit haalt zitten de zekeringen (één reserve) in een soort laatje die je eruit kunt wippen met een schroevendraaier. Dan kun je precies zien wat je nodig hebt. Ben benieuwd wat je ervan vindt straks!

Vandaag de purple fuse binnengekregen en natuurlijk meteen geprobeerd.
Helaas werkt mijn HifiRose niet wanneer ik de purple fuse plaats. Er komt geen stroom door.
Leverancier gemaild en op zijn advies de contactpunten iets verbogen, maar ook dat had geen effect. Kon helaas niet anders dan het terugsturen. Wel vreemd dat het hier niet werkt. Volgens de leverancier was het niet mogelijk dat ik een defecte fuse opgestuurd heb gekregen.
Het was dus een kort avontuur

Dat is balen, maar ze sturen vast een nieuwe op. Je hebt toch wel een zekering met de goede specificaties gekregen? Het zou moeten werken als de zekering niet kapot is. Bij mij ging het probleemloos. Hou me op de hoogte!
A fuse isn’t change only with sound on your system. But it should be called an upgrade, everything was being improved, like details, the width & depth, more engaging with much better presentation, just like you upgrade your cable.
That is the case same as asking why you don’t use the stock “black & white” cable before changing them to a more high end one.
For me I would regarded it as a media/way to extend the potential of your device to a much better level.

Ongelofelijk wat een verschil. Had dit niet verwacht

Today, I received the purple fuse for my RS250A. I too was skeptical at first, but holy fuse, what a difference in sound quality. Very happy I’ve tried it.

You should be able to distinguish within some seconds😉 Purple fuse is the best C/P among all!
Other than that you may need to spend nearly a double or more!

I forgot the value of the fuse. But I have numerous SR fuse including Blue/Orange/ Purple etc… Let see if I could mail you one with the correct rating

By no mean to dampen the enthusiasm of changing fuse, and I do agree that it has various degrees of impact (could be negative too) over sound quality since I have a few replacements in my gears as well.
But do note that when a fuse is burned. The loss is irrecoverable. It “hurts” when it is expensive.
This happened to my RS150B a month ago. The fuse burned for unknown reason during a system reset. I replaced the burned one with the spare fuse in the machine. It burned immediately as well.
I took the machine to local distributor for repair. Certain electronic parts were replaced accordingly.
The machine is up and running now, but not the replacement fuse.
Surely this faulty situation won’t happen regularly. But when it does, be prepared that the loss of the fuse is irrecoverable.

I have read this topic with a lot of interest.
I looked at the back of my RS520 and find a circuit breaker with the text “press to reset”.
Does this mean that there is no physical fuse in there?
If so I cannot replace the fuse and cannot change over to Purple Fuse.
Is this correct or is there another way?
You are correct. There is no fuse you can change for your RS520.
Guys, if you don’t feel the clear difference when you reverse the same fuse, regardless of brand and model, it means that your system is far from the truth. This must be felt, regardless of whether you have acoustic treatment in the room or not.
What about holding the fuse in front of the device? Maybe taping it to the power button? Will 4 fuses, taped in each corner make even more difference? Would the effect be cancelled if thei are pointing in different directions?

What is the purpose of bothering a person, who has good will and predisposition to share knowledge?
There is a difference, and not even particularly subtle one, between knowledge and complete and utter BS that violates all known laws of physics.
