@ROSEHAN Can you let me know if the attenuation switch in any way degrades the sound/performance of the 180?
I would like to activate and use more of the volume control. With my current streamer/DAC, I’m only able to turn up the 180 a couple of notches until it is too loud. I haven’t been able to successfully use the bypass option on the 180 either.

The purpose of the attenuator switch is to reduce the sound to a minimum.
When operating the front panel, if there is a concern about shock noise, it is used to minimize the sound and check whether the sound is coming out. For normal use, you can leave it off.
I ended up reducing the output gain down to 12db. I’ll see if this gives me more volume range.
