The RD160 has recently received a new update.
Please download the RD160 update file from the link below and update your RD160 to the latest version:

After updating, please check whether the same issue still occurs.
You’ve got a typo on the web page where you still call the file 1.46 in the “How to Update” section
The update worked fine, however and the new meters on the RD160 are very cool. There should be a separate thread every time there is a new firmware for the RD160. This is a little buried.

I had to rename the file to rd160_update-v1.51 or it would not post the update menu.
Also in the instructions you have a typo (ver 1.46 vs ver.1.51).
I agree with Carnelian please post a new thread under rd160 with the new update so everyone can find it.
Also in the new thread tell users how to change between the new vu meters( very very cool) , by pressing the DISPLAY MODE button on the remote.

Originally, we planned to release a remote control in April this year that would allow users to select and control the DAC, streamer, and amplifier with a single remote.
However, due to a signal transmission issue with the remote, we are now planning to release it by June this year.
The design has already been finalized, but the price and detailed design cannot be disclosed yet.
Please keep an eye out for the official announcement in the future.

I’ve tried to update my 160 but can not do it, I have followed the instructions
Make sure the file you download has the exact name from the download page. Macs at least give it some string of characters and you need to rename the file. Have you ever updated it before? If not make sure you read about how the flash drive needs to be formatted and it is the only file on the thumb drive.

I have renamed and uploaded the file to the link below. Please copy it to the root directory of your USB drive. Once you connect the USB to the back of the device, it should automatically switch to the update screen
