And if so how do you change it, I see the drop down menu for FLAC/WAV and another choice for Flac(Comp) but nothing for AIFF I do see another drop down menu where it shows UTF-8 but not
sure what that specific menu system does.

Ripping to AIFF files is not supported. The menu like UTF-8 is the language setting.
In some languages, when set to UTF-8, words may be expressed strangely.

Thank you, for the Clarification! Makes it easier to rip, most of my files are in AIFF via iMac etc… But your unit has zero issues reading them back, how about if you download from a computer onto the internal the Rose S250 Hard drive, I believe that is supported.
Thankfully I did a system reset and things seem to be working much better now, I kept on having Freezes when using the unit, to the point where I had to shut it down and reboot it. Only a few days old, so hopefully all is well now.
