Hello, I can play music via airplay on the 250a (tidal-app). But I can’t play the music in parallel on other devices (multiroom). Why is this not possible? The device appears in the Airplaylist, but it cannot be selected together with others.
The official version only supports Airplay1 and does not support multiroom.
In the EA version, a multi-room function has been added.
If you want to use the multiroom function, please update your RS250a to the EA version.
Thank you. Could you also help me with this: What is the EA version and how can I install it?
RS130–>Settings–>System info–>Use the official update version–>Rollback
By following the method above, you can rollback from the EA version to the official version.
But I don’t want a rollback, I want to install the EA-Version and I have the RS250A. In the settings I can choose between MCU-Update und XMOS-Update. What Update is the EA?
Thanks and greetings!
RS250a supports two versions: Official and EA versions.
In the EA version, a multi-room function has been added.
If you want to use the multiroom function, please update your RS250a to the EA version.
This is a separate issue from MCU-Update and XMOS-Update.
That has now worked. But: when playing back via airplay 2, the volume always drops to 20. If I start a new song, I have to turn up the volume again.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Even if we connect two devices to RS250a, the volume is maintained well.
- Have you connected only RS250a to your AirPlay device? Or did you connect other devices as well? (If you have another device, please tell us the model name)
- Does the volume always change to 20 when the next song is played?
- Please tell us the model name and version of the iOS device you are using.
- Does AirPlay 2 disconnect briefly before the volume changes to 20?
Now I have connected only RS250a to my AirPlay device. I use an Iphone 12 Pro an an IPad Pro, 4th generation (iOS 17.6.1). The volume always changes to 20 when I restart the transmission via airplay or when I switch to the next track using the forward button on Tidal. If the track automatically switches to the next track at the end of a song, the volume does not change. I don’t think, that Airplay 2 disconnect briefly before the volume changes to 20 - how would I know that?
Thank you for your efforts.
We’re constantly checking with devices like yours. But I don’t have the same symptoms as you.
If the AirPlay connection is lost, the title and artist information disappears and a message appears saying the queue is empty.
