Album artwork not populating

hello,
When listening Internet radio with Rose radio connect (e.a: Radio Paradise) , the album artwork and information about title do not always populating on screen.
We must press the shazam button on rose application (mobile phone) or press the refresh button directly on Rose display.
No problem when playing a CD or even a file stored on SSD.
Any idea? may it come from a low/poor WiFI connection?

I saw some similar notes in the chat …strange than Rose software team cannot create a script or do it automatically

very annoying indeed

himynameisturkish,

This has been requested many times. In fact I have even asked that when landing on the radio station playing page that there be a setting where the Shazam activation for that song be automatically activated. It has not been made available.

hope that ROSE Software team will take this subject seriously so as not to be left behind by another supplier.

To listen to Radio Paradise, the best way is to use the (external!) app “Radio Paradise”. In this app you choose the music genre you want to hear and then send it with airplay to the Hifi Rose device.

@lenglfr

We have also recently reviewed the possibility of supporting a feature that would automatically display album cover art without needing to press “Search Music,” but we are currently experiencing difficulties in resolving the issue.

Your requested approach is certainly much more convenient and practical.

If we find a way to resolve this issue in the future, we will make the necessary improvements accordingly.

This is the Rose screen when I use the Radio Paradise app with airplay to the Rose.

Having the same , but since radio paradise updated their application, I have more disconnection in Bluetooth.
Have you noticed that ?

Bluetooth is out of order here. I never use it. Airplay is the way to go.

@HuubW

I understand what you are saying.
At the moment, if you want to see the album artwork of the radio channel playing through the RoseRadio app, you need to press the “Search Music” button.

Pressing “search music” only works for the song being played at that moment.
At least that’s the case with my RS151.
When I use the external “Radio Paradise” app (with airplay to the Rose) the Rose screen changes automatically with every new song.

@HuubW

Could you let me know which radio channel you mainly listen to in the RoseRadio app?

ROSEHAN
I mainly (almost only) listen to “Radio Paradise Globalized” (World mix) and “Hi On Line World Radio”.

@HuubW

Are you saying that when you play the “Radio Paradise Globalized” (World mix) and “Hi On Line World Radio” channels in the RoseRadio app, you have to press the Music Search button every time the song changes in order to see the currently playing track title and artist name?

If that is the issue you are experiencing, I will check with our software team to see if this can be improved.

@ROSEHAN
With “Radio Paradise Globalized” I have to press the Music Search button every time the song changes in order to see the currently playing track cover art, title and artist name.
With “Hi On Line World Radio” the currently playing track title and artist name change with the song, but the cover art after every song goes back to the channel logo.

@HuubW

I have shared this request with our software team; however, it appears that implementing this change would be difficult at this time.

When playing radio channels, the “Music Search” button must be pressed to retrieve information about the currently playing track. If this process were automated, it could result in excessive and uncontrolled calls to the Shazam API, which carries a risk of being blocked due to overuse. For this reason, the automatic thumbnail and metadata retrieval feature has not been implemented.

We have received similar feature requests in the past, but for the reasons mentioned above, the current behavior has been maintained.
