Explain to me why you’re posting information about ES products on the Rose forum? I have Sonus Faberf speakers, and while on that manufacturer’s forum, we all write about this brand, but no one links to products like Dynaaudio, B&W …because it’s pointless.
If you like something from ES, buy it and enjoy it. If you think it’s musically superior to Rose, let’s delve deeper into Rose’s problems, because most people want Rose to improve its app, for example, and modernize it to make listening more enjoyable.
So why clutter up the posts with products from other manufacturers?
At least put everything in one thread related to ES, and if someone is interested, they’ll read everything about that manufacturer in one thread.
I interpret it to mean that @duffer5 posted this as an incentive for HiFi Rose—specifically to improve their software and enhance connectivity via ports, such as SFP modules or external DACs, many of which are not yet compatible with their streamers.
Have to add…
- Eversolo didn’t just launch one product but a whole new lineup.
- Its not just Eversolo. Cambridge audio released a new EVO300 which is a shot across the RS520 bow.
If we look at the wish list from here… looks like the EVO 300 answers … at least on paper.
They don’t offer GaN, but Hypex.
Also the Eversolo has a new GaN amp out too.
So lets see how Rose responds.
(Note: I’m still happy w my RS520… and it will be a while before I upgrade… )
Cougar 2025,
In my case it is out of love for the HiFi Rose Company and its products (I have four). HiFi Rose had an incredibly large lead over the industry three years ago. They squandered that lead. I and many others on this forum warned that unless HiFi Rose kept advancing, the Chinese would eat their lunch. Well, we can all see what happened. It’s a shame. The internal hard drive indexing and categorization is just one example. The reason for pointing out the competition is to show that it was past time for HiFi Rose to step up their game.
I love its hardware and until recently its software was an abomination but now I’m proud to use it. It has been brought into the 20th century. Much has been done to improve recently but much remains to be done. I’m hanging in.
