Amazon Music HD streaming

Is it possible to add Amazon Music HD streaming to the RS201?
There is a Android App so it should technical be possible.
Here in Europe Amazon is a big player and the price is nice for Prime customers like me.

Hello,

So far, we haven’t had many update requests for Amazon Music.
It is good to support various services, but continuous management is required when updating. I’ll consider applying when I can manage it well rather than tinkering with it. For now, the focus is on stability.
Also, it’s not something we can do if we want to because it’s a cooperation work
If more user requests come in, I think we can actively consider it.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Another One here - Amazon HD is popular in Germany - and it’s a demanded feature for many future clients from germany.

@ROSELOA any news on this? Esp. with the new RS250 I think you will get more European customers and there is Amazon Music HD very popular.

Hello, thanks for your comment.
Comments on Amazon music hd have been forwarded to the development team.
For now, we are concentrating on developing an integrated playlist. Also, in-app features from other companies are not something that can be updated quickly. After an internal review, it should also get a positive response from amazon music hd. We’ll let you know when there’s an update on amazon music hd.

I wonder what is the bottle neck here
If I am not mistaken, Rose is built on Android platform and generally the Play Store do have Amazon Music. Even available on my Nvidia Shield which is running the TV OS.
Similarly, the Apple Music! Believe it’s available on Android phones/note pads. If so; the question is what makes it different/difficult for Rose to support?

Note: @ROSELOA Please treat the question is more for a technical understanding…

Hello,

If we use their standard APK only, we can provide very very limited service to our customer.
(We can’t control from our Rose connect, Remote controller, and other detailed functions, ETC)

If they have API, or development kit, we can develop more convenient service like Qobuz, Tidal.

Also, using various apps such as PlayStore without going through our pre-test may cause many stability issues. Since this is an audio device, it is very sensitive to stability issues.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi Roseloa,
Another great one would be Deezer too as you can stream in lossless.
Regards Matt.

@ROSELOA Thanks for providing clarity.

Roseaudio will have thousands more customers if Hifirose can support amazon unlimited music. It is a real shame a wonderful product like hifi rose does not support amazon music.

+1 for Amazon Music. They are a very popular service.

As an alternative to direct support for Amazon HD would it be possible to implement support for audio Chromecast? That will be very satisfactory!

It would be more then nice to have native PLEX support

This is where most of Rose’s efforts should be focused.
Qobuz + Tidal are less than 2% market share each. Add TuneIn and you have a complete set of most desired functionality. Just saying.
