Apple Lossless HiRes

Does anyone know if Apple HiRes Lossless is streamed via the HiFi Rose 150b. I see threads that state Apple only stream lossless via Apple devices! Also, does Quobuz HiRes sound better than Apple Music via the 150b? Finally, I was with Tidal and played MQA tracks which sounded sublime, very organic. But when Tidal switched to HiRes the sound was not so great as compared to MQA. Any insights as to why lossy MQA sounded better than HiRes on Tidal and how to obtain the highest sound quality now on the 159b?

Only Apple hardware or software developed by Apple products and apps support lossless music.
Since the app (software) on the Android phone was also developed by Apple, it supports lossless sound sources.
So, until now, Apple hardware or software supports only up to aac256 bps unless it is a product or app developed by Apple.
For hi-fi audio equipment, I think Apple Music will gradually expand technology disclosure.
If Apple releases this part in the future, we will be able to apply it.

In the case of Tidal sound sources, the sound source has an Original Sample Rate of 24bit 192kHz encoded with MQA.
MQA plays almost as well as lossless, but is not strictly speaking lossless.
After converting to a 24bit 48kHz sound source, the sound source information above 24KHz is sent to an area where humans cannot hear, and when playing, this information is reflected and restored (unfolding, rendering) to a 24bit 192kHz sound source and played back.
In theory, they can be transmitted almost identically.

The 24bit 192kHz HiRes sound source provided by Qobuz is transmitted in FLAC.
FLAC is a file format that can compress and save lossless music. When playing, decompress and convert to lossless music (PCM) for playback. In the case of the corresponding sound source, there is a sound source officially encoded at 24bit 192kHz, so if the flac file you have is the sound source, I think it will be the same as the Qobuz sound source.
However, in some cases, there are sound sources that have been converted to UpSampling (24bit, 192kHz) after CD Ripping (16bit, 44.1kHz). In this case it is not the same.

Hi, can I play Apple Music from my iPhone direct to the 150b like with the Spotify App? That could be a work around for HiRes Lossless streaming?

You can play Apple Music lossless music on your cell phone by connecting it to your Rose device via Bluetooth or AirPlay.
However, we do not recommend this method. Even if you cannot play lossless music by connecting to Bluetooth or AirPlay, playing music through the Apple Music app on a Rose device will help improve sound quality.
