B-style VU meter

@ROSELOA Is it possible to add the B-style VU meter with blue background?

Hello,

There are currently no plans to add another VU mode.
But if you give me a picture to use as an example, I can suggest though.

This one, in the app it is called b-style
Now it is white background, blue would be nice

McIntosh style has blue background …

Yes I’m aware of that but those are two separate meters while this one has other layout which I prefer

Hello,

Thank you for detailed information.
I can’t tell for sure it will be added, but I will try.

Thank you.

There’s a lot of VU meters, but no LED meters at all?

Yes this would be great.

do the meters actually read/show the real db level or is it just for show

Hi Rose team,
We need something like this please.
It would be awesome.

Get yourselves an RME ADI FS DAC

The idea is good, but channel separation is necessary, it’s stereo

Still no answer - does anyone know please.
Do the meters actually work.

I’m almost sure they are not calibrated.
Think it’s just for optical fun

Hello,

The position of VU mode is derived by the result below.

  1. Determines the VU position based on the peak value of dB within a certain period of time (40ms).
  2. In addition, the volume of the ROSE device is reflected.

Therefore, it is a bit different from the output level (dB).

waste of time really. other apps are far more important , in fact the display is not need when listening /viewing on tv, the long life of screen is more important .

They don’t own the colour!!!
Do they?

The issue was the naming scheme Hifi Rose used for that color option. It could lead to consumer confusion with another brand which is the lowest threshold a competitive brand needs to pass for there to be a trademark infringement. IF Hifi Rose changed the name of the color but not the color itself there would be no issue. Their legal counsel should have advised them of that but I am sure one of the technical people got a threatening letter from a competitor and Hifi Rose caved on the spot instead of simply renaming the color which would also have been a satisfactory outcome for everyone.
