Beta premium products?

Dear Rose and forum,

I’ve just purchased an RS150b and I must say that in some ways I’m impressed but some things are simply not good enough for a premium product with a premium price tag. E.g. several things are written in Korean including the ios app description in the app store. Also, some of the apps are plastered with Korean radios and videos.

There are several typos (e.g. “lastest version” in settings). Settings are plural (not setting), e.g. display settings.

The ios app is very messy, e.g. playing Tidal music. Perhaps Rose could get some inspiration from e.g. Roon. They’ve managed to aggregate music from several sources in a beautiful way.

I will keep by RS150b for now however I look forward to software updates.

Do you plan on adding tidal connect to the RS150b and when will it be added?

If that will be added I will keep it I guess.

Sorry, no plan for TIDAL connect yet.

I agree there are a lot of translation errors in the streamer itself and in the Rose connect app
I did make a list and sent it to the Dutch distributor NMS at their request and they will forward it to Korea.
Hope Rose will update it soon.

I have to agree. Great looking unit and screen, but the bad English (or lack thereof) and the state of the iOS App are unfortunate. I also question the decision to go with a cheap plastic bluetooth remote control. Many people have universal remotes controls (me included), but the Rose can’t be added since it is bluetooth. So, now you have another remote control laying around. The Rose connect app on Mac is just a hot mess and the lack of Tidal connect is again unfortunate. Lastly, so many people are having issues connecting to a NAS (I have basically given up), but no solution is forth-coming. There is no option provided to connect to a NAS server like AssetUPNP, MiniMServer, Plex, or similar. Given the price point, this product lacks some finish. I came from a Cary DMS-550 which didn’t have the fancy screen, but everything just worked out of the box.

“The Rose connect app on Mac is just a hot mess” I agree.
I hope soon for a real and important update (I listen to my music on my old MacBookPro with the Audirvana 3.5.50 app which is great, simple…).
Aside from that, the musicality of the Rose (250) is excellent!!
