Broken links in radio station lists

I’ve been adding new Internet radio stations. So far about a third (maybe more) of the stations listed have broken links ("invalid data found when processing link"emphasized text is the exact error message). I’m aware than many internet stations don’t broadcast all the time, but I’m talking about broken links or stations that aren’t broadcasting at all. Please ask your supplier to clean up its lists.

You can best do that yourself.

Via these links you will find quite a few radio stations

ARey11,

Thank you for your very kind post. What I have done to take care of this issue myself is to use Claude to create a daily scanner which searches the internet for new stations, then checks for a live signal, then ranks the station by the stations which play my preferred genre. It took me all of thirty minutes to build and works very well for me.

My point in pointing out how poorly Rose’s contractor is doing in its curating and displaying the radio stations was to show how easy this would be to do correctly. Surely somebody has a clean, functional program.

Yet another good use of tokens.

Just curious… how often do you see your list change?

I use RadioMaximus TapinRadio - Internet Radio Application with windows.

Smegel,

Not too often for radio stations but frequently for stations online. The stations seem to come and go a lot, particularly the lesser known ones that I tend to frequent because I’m not looking for the usual stations but specialty ones catering to my predilections. FWIW Claude finds a LOT more stations than any of the commercial programs I’ve seen.

I’m unfortunately a big user of tokens!

Hmmm
I wonder if you could use a local model to do this.

Can you share your chat / prompt script?

It would be a good test of different local models.

Smegel,

I used a local model. I tried to upload the Python file but the’re prohibited here.

Oh well.

Local model for the win, so no charge for tokens!
More to love!
