I have rs451 and ra280, connected via xlr. This my story - Yesterday updated rs451 to newest firmware, and very disappointed its with bugs. Then connected to phone by blutetooth no sound! Testet from tv via optical
No sound! Turned off waited for some time - tryed to work - sounds appeared but very low, looks like on 50% like 20% earlier. Tryed to find solution - changed sourse by mechanical swith on front in rs451 and then back, sound volume was restored like earlier. But still not working correctly- then changing source from optical and Bluetooth getting no sound! Back to bluetooth no sound :(, its really something with firmware, can it be fixed or how to return to previous. Or how to fix is nonsense each time switching sources few time to get a sound.

I have the same situation, volume output loss more than 50%. Updated 5.11.08 still the same.
Headache again.
I have the RS151, but experienced the same issue after updating software.
The solution for me was to augment the “pre-out level setting” to 200 or 300 milivolts (or more).
Same as you I use the “software volume control” of the RS151, but by augmenting the (reachable!) level in “pre-out level setting” you get in a higher level area with the software volume control.
With connect one app: parameters → in-out setting → output → wheel at analog outputs → pre-out level settings → 3000 mV → confirm → add/apply.
Then you can set “pre-out level setting” to “off” again.
It works with my RS 151, hopefully it does also with your RS451 . .
yes volume can be fixed, (but then turning off and turing on - no volume again or its vey quiet, change mv in settings again and it apears) also FW has more 2 issue: VU meter show on max level, and u cant switch between sources, example try BT and switch Optical - no sound at all. with older firmware no issues, after upgrade im very dissapointed, expensive devices and so many problems. Later will try upgrade to 5.11.08, will write its fixed or no.
