Full report of bug here: Ripped CDs can’t be played from navigation button on 150b
This issue has already been forwarded to the software team. They will review it internally, and if it is identified as a software issue, they will work on a fix.
Additionally, when you press the “Play All” button located in the same position on other screens, does the LCD touch function respond properly in that area?
Additionally, when you press the “Play All” button located in the same position on other screens, does the LCD touch function respond properly in that area?
both the play all and shuffle buttons work from both the hardware 150 B as well as the Rose One connect app only under the audio app section of the locally attached SSD drive.
Play all/shuffle fail to work under the internal SSD video app portion of both of these devices.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please check the following:
-
Audio and video files stored on the SSD should support Play All.
If it does not work, please go to:
Rose device–>Video → Settings → Folder → DB Scan
Then try using Play All again. -
When you press the Play All button in the SSD Video app, what exactly happens?
Does only one video play?
Please provide more details.
Rose device–>Video → Settings → Folder → DB Scan
The only path to any kind of an internal SSD DB scan is the following:
Rose device–>Video → Setup → Media Library → Re-scan DB (includes audio, video)
I have initiated this but as there are a lot of each Audio and Video and no current way to choose one over the other, have to wait for it to complete befre re-testing “Play All” for videos.
When you press the Play All button in the SSD Video app, what exactly happens?
Does only one video play?
Exactly nothing.
Will advise when DB scan completes.
Thanks
@ROSEHAN The DB has completed quicker than I expected.
I can now play (from the Rose 150b device) all Videos on the SSD via the Play All button and the shuffle appears to work as well.
The Play All and Shuffle buttons on the Rose ONE app however, fail to play anything after playing. There are no errors either after pressing.
Thank you
We would like to ask for a few additional confirmations:
- In the RoseOne app, when you enter the Video section, does nothing play when you press “Play All” and Shuffle from the Album view? Or does nothing play when you press “Play All” and Shuffle from the Folder view?
- In our testing, playback works normally in the Album view, but nothing plays when pressing “Play All” and Shuffle in the Folder view.
Please confirm whether you are experiencing the same behavior.
This issue has been identified internally, and we will work to fix it as soon as possible.
@ROSEHAN there is no play all/shuffle buttons in the album view. One has to click inside any album before the two buttons are available.
Once I am inside one of the Albums, the play button works for videos , but the shuffle does not work. Clicking on shuffle simply plays the very first video in the folder under this album view. Note I have tested this inside an album that contains more than one video.
When clicking into Folder view, then choosing the SSD drive as a whole, the play and shuffle buttons do work, but only for audio files contained on the SSD drive. When I navigate further into a folder that contains videos only on the SSD drive, the play and shuffle buttons do not work for any of the content.
Thank you
