Calling it quits?

Hi everyone,

When you buy a device like the hifi rose RS150b you expect an easy connection and after that, stable flawless connections to your tablet or phone. This is not the case, after a firmware update or two ago.

It is very annoying that I cannot create a stable connection or even connect anyway, both with android samsung tablet or samsing s23 phone. ( fresh install)
Now I have to crawl over the floor to change tracks. Sorry , but if I would like that I would preferably flash back 30 year ago and put on a vinyl record with the knees of a young man.

The sound is great but these connection issues are very annoying. I tried a fixed ip adress. I can also not login with my hifi rose account. This device is unusable like this.

I don’t know if it is the case at your place, but I expériences the same instability with my 5G internet box wifi, which was automatically and erraticly changing between 4G and 5G channels… And it disappeared after I forced 4G opération on the box m only !

May be you can check and try that ?

I have AT&T fiber cable in the US and a gateway set up to control the IP addressing in my home. It’s been very reliable since I purchased my RS130 in November. I have an SFP output on my switch and now want to figure out how to get a fiber line to my Rose unit. I currently have it connected via RJ-45 ethernet connection with the adapter.

Sometimes you need a few weeks off and go skiing, which I did. A fresh start : I solved this issue with a firmware update to the early access firmware (EA) . Very happy up till now, everything seems to work smoothly now.

I noticed that hooking up to my qnap shares had quite an upgrade, it is now very easy to do. Also, it was easy to connect to a windows share. (as soon as you know your password etc  )

With the connect EA app on my android S23 phone and samsung tablet there were no issues to connect to the RS150. The regular apps were not able to do that anymore. No hassle: I was informed to use the EA connect apps in the regular app.

I did notice that on my samsung A9 tablet, the context menu is now German, but I would like Dutch or at least English. This is more cosmetic than a serious issue of course.

Thank you, eunseong, for taking my problem seriously!!
