Cannot sign in to youtube account through Rose Connect app

When I attempt to sign in to my youtube account through Rose Connect, youtube never sends the notification referred to in the Rose Connect app.

I couldn’t find my youtube password to attempt inputting it directly, so I changed it. When I entered the new password manually it said that was the wrong password. I checked and I correctly entered the new password.

As it is, I can’t use this feature (showing youtube videos) as a result.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you tried RoseConnect app–>RoseTube–>YouTube–>Log in?
If it is correct, this function is from YouTube, so if you type in a capital [small] letters well, you will be able to log in without any problem.

Please check it again and check if you can log in properly in the YouTube app.

I do not understand your response.

When I attempt to sign in to YouTube via the Rose Connect application, this is what happens:

  1. Open Rose Connect
  2. Select RoseTube
  3. Select YouTube from menu at top
  4. YouTube login screen appears, I click on Login button
  5. Login Youtube screen appears. Text says Sign in Use your Google Account. A box titled Email or phone is below.
  6. I enter the email address associated with my Google account and click the Next button when it appears.
  7. Rose Connect then displays screen saying: Hi Doug, shows my email address below my name. Below that the number 19 in the center of the screen, below the following text: Check your Google Pixel 6 Pro. Pull down the notification bar and tap the sign-in notification. Tap Yes, then tap 19 on your phone to verify it’s you.
  8. There is nothing in the notification bar.
  9. I then clicked the more ways to sign in button. At this point, I don’t know if I am signing in to Google or YouTube. When I followed the prompts to change my password (never exiting the Rose Connect to perform this) and then attempted to manually enter the password I had just created (again still in the Rose Connect app), I was told that was not a valid password.

At this point, I wasn’t able to back out of the Rose Connect app, and I need to uninstall and reinstall it to use it again.

I am totally confused by this sequence of events. I don’t know how my YouTube and Google accounts are connected, but I don’t seem to have any passwords for YouTube saved in my internet browser (chrome), but I do need to sign in to YouTube using my Google account to see the channels I have subscribed to.

Adding to my frustration, there isn’t any way I can find to get assistance from YouTube or Google, other than to be directed to the “Community” which appears to be a collection of questions and suggested solutions based on key words from my question. This is useless as most “answers” don’t address my problem, and is a waste of time.

I am hoping that you understand what Rose Connect is doing and based on that knowledge, can shed some light as to why I can’t use this feature, despite having all of the components (player, Rose Connect software, YouTube account, Google account).

Perhaps I should note that I am using the Rose Connect Premium app, not the plain Rose Connect app (not sure what the differences are between these apps)

First of all, I read and understood your article. I have a few questions in this regard.

  1. There is a phenomenon that your YouTube account cannot log in in the RoseConnect app. If you try to log in with the same account in the YouTube app, will you log in normally?

  2. The YouTube function in the Rose Connect app is also taken from YouTube, so if you log in in the YouTube app, you must also log in in the Rose Connect app.

  3. RoseConnect Primium app is for RS150, RS150B, RS250, RS201. Other RoseConnect app is for RS350 and RS301 device.

If you keep saying that you cannot log in, please send the YouTube ID and password you are trying to log in to to eunseong96@citech.kr e-mail address, and we will check the problem.

Oilheaddoug this is the YouTube dialog I get after putting in my username.


After that it asked me for two step ID.

I have now successfully logged in to YouTube via the Rose Connect app.

I used a different YouTube account that I had through a previous Internet Service Provider, that was not associated with my Google account. That turns out to be a good thing, as I can use this account exclusively for media used with the RoseTube app.
