Cd to dac, sound cuts for fraction of a second

Hello members, I have this situation…
I have connected my Micromega cd-30 cd player to my HIFIROSE rd160 and every minute or so the sound cuts for half a second…
It does not matter which sampling I use it just cuts, even by-pass
I use the digital coax out of the Cd to coax input of my rd160.
Is there a solution besides sending the Cd to the preamplifier because it sound like heaven when it goes in the rd160…
I’ve looked in the instructions to maybe lower the sampling from 44.1 input to 705.6khz output but to no avail…

Last thing, every time the sound cuts the display below the COAXIAL title where it says FROM TO becomes empty for a split second and then everything comes back normal displaying as if nothing happened.
Thank you members

Do you have another source like a streamer or another CD transport to connect with the same coax cable to the DAC? Do you have another coax cable to test? Have you tried another cable type like optical?

I seem to recall that the Micromega CD-30 does not have a Toslink output.

Unfortunatly I do not have another digital coaxial cable to try,
I am using a 6ft/2m 75ohm Canare LV-61s SPDIF Cable with Kimber kable
no toslink on the micromega cd-30.

Maybe I should try a regular rca lol!

I am waiting for my 432 EVO aeon , it’s stuck at customs in Tennesse usa for the past month at FedEx dépôt for some reason. My dealer tries to get it out…

I should also update it to 1.51 version…

If it is a short distance you could likely get away with testing a regular RCA cable instead of another digital coax. It might not sound as good as the coax but it would be a quick and simple way to test if your current coax is the cause of the dropouts. I doubt that it is, but I like to do simple troubleshooting steps. Additionally, as I said above, try a different digital source with the RD160.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the RD160 pairing with the 432 EVO when you get this trouble sorted out.

I will try a regular rca, it’s only 3 feet

I will try another Cd player this week!

It is not possible to set the upsampling rate of the RD160 to a lower value than the current options.

At this time, only the following modes are supported: Default (Bypass), To PCM, To DSD, and Upsampling (Max).

Does the same issue (audio dropouts) occur even when it is set to Default (Bypass)?

Yes on all 4 modes , it drops

One more thing we’d like to check.

Could you please provide a detailed description of your hi-fi audio setup, including what devices your RD160 is connected to and how they are connected?
We would like to recreate a similar environment on our side for testing.
