Change over from headphones to amp and back

Again I find another issue on my ROSE 250!!!

Slowly but steadily I am getting fed up with this overpriced piece of kit!

  1. The headphone volume still goes to maximum after switching between listening to the speakers and then listening to my headphones. And yes, I stop the music whilst switching over - again something I never needed to do before!!!

  2. The new issue now is that I can’t continue to listening at the point I left off before the switchover as the app simply don’t do anything when I press the start button again!!! Most of the time I have to kill the app or I have to change to a different CD!

Once again - ROSE is more show than substance!! Can I still send the unit back to the vendor claiming the unit is not fit for purpose???

@Bruab

I’m sorry for the late response to your issue.

  1. The incident has been reproduced on our side. However, it occurs about 1 in 10 times. What is the frequency with which you encounter this problem?
    The software team determines that the issue can be fixed.

  2. I did not understand your symptoms. Please describe your symptoms in detail.

Hi There,

  1. In my case I would say the occurrence is about 6:1, but I haven’t counted it precisely.

  2. What I am trying to say is as follows. For instance:
    A. I stop listening to via my headphones I stop replay of the music.
    B. Then I disconnect the headphones.
    C. After that I am want to restart listening to the music via the speakers.
    D. I therefore press the start button and nothing is happening!
    E. The only way to overcome this problem is to kill the app and restart app. Sometimes I can select a different CD, but that’s not the general idea!
    F. It also happens the reverse way - from speakers to headphones.

I hope this helps.

@Bruab

We are continuing to check for these symptoms.
There are two problems that arise from our side:

  1. When changing from preout to headphone, the volume value changed strangely.

  2. When connecting or removing headphones, there was no response even when pressing the Play button (:arrow_forward:).

The first problem is that it is not easy to change right now due to the current hardware structural issues, so we need to think about how to fix it.
The second issue will be fixed and released in the next version.

Thank you

To say I am not surprised is an understatement! The answer to the second issue is fair enough, but the first issue I don’t get!
With all the equipment I ever had disconnecting and re-connecting the headphones was never an issue even without stopping replay! So my question is - did you ever test these streamers in real world conditions before releasing them??? I am really getting to the point now where I am considering selling my 250 I am sorry to say……

@Bruab

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The volume changing strangely is a hardware structural problem, so we need to find a separate way to fix it.

Please correct me if I am wrong as the problem is hardware based - will you replace my unit for a new one once you sorted the problem as I will not accept living with this problem forever :+1:t2:

Hello,

It’s an issue that can be updated through software improvement. However, even though it may not seem so, this problem is interconnected with many internal aspects. Therefore, it may take a considerable amount of time to address and improve.

For product exchanges or refunds, please contact your dealer.

Best Regards,

Thanks for your reply. The question remains - why wasn’t the unit properly tested before release?
Also, I still waiting for a PROPER shuffle feature :+1:t2:
