Computer USB audio output to RS-250 (via Roon)

Hi everyone,

I have an issue while try to output DSD 512 audio file from ROON to RS-250

It does not work.

I have a computer (installed windows 11) with Roon installed and all the music are stored in a second SSD. Music streaming via LAN is normal, but limited to DSD 256. So I tired plug in a printer USB cable from USB2.0/3.0 port from the COMP and connected to RS-250 USB IN (with USB in activated inside setting). While the USB IN is activated, I can find the USB output(Rose 250) option in the Roon setting page. I can play DSD512 files but it still downgraded to DSD256 and there is no sound from the speaker. I took a look inside the further setting of the USB DAC page in ROON, the DSD decoding only show up to DSD256.

Is a driver for the USB output for Rose is needed for DSD512 playback?

I would be grateful if someone could come up with a solution.

Thank you.

Hello,

First of all, ROON ready DoP mode supports upto DSD256.

  1. Download ASIO driver from this link.
  1. You will be able to play up to DSD512 by native, if you use USB B type and connect it to ROON CORE. (By using DAC mode)
