Dropouts by playing from internal SSD

I recently got the RS250, which is a fantastic device, exceeding my expectations. But for the first few weeks, I played my ripped music collection via an external USB hard drive, without any problem. Since 2 weeks, I have a Samsung 2TB EVO SSD (internal) and have been having dropouts with some regularity. Rebooting, rescanning the database, nothing helps. Don’t know what else I could do to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Hello,

  1. When you had dropout- the RS250 couldn’t recognize the SSD anymore?
  2. Is there any steps to reproduce the issue?
  3. Who is your distributor?
  4. Do you have any other SSD or HDD that you can test with RS250?

Best Regards,

  1. When you had dropout- the RS250 couldn’t recognize the SSD anymore? I don’t think so, the music just stopped, I don’t know if the SSD wasn’t recognized anymore.
  2. Is there any steps to reproduce the issue? No, it just occurs randomly
  3. Who is your distributor? What do you mean by this question, where I bought the RS250?
  4. Do you have any other SSD or HDD that you can test with RS250? No. I have no other SSD or HDD to test (internally)

Hello,

It’s difficult to know which part may cause the problem…

Next time when you have the issue…

  1. If there’s an error message, please let me know what you see. It would be great if you can take a photo.
  2. Go to RS250 > Settings > Storage Settings > Storage information > Check if you can see your SSD here.
  3. If you have the issue when you’re playing certain song, please let me know what is the file.
  4. Factory reset is the last step you can try. (RS250 > Settings > SystemSettings > Factory Reset)
It won’t reset the files in your SSD and USB, you will have to scan again though.

Last night I played for a couple of hours with only one small dropout, but that can also be a file error.
If I suffer dropouts again I will check with the above cases.

For now thank you, hoping that the problem is solved somehow.
