[Early Access] Ver 5.10.02 (Rose OS 5.10.02) SW Update Notice

Okay, I’ll do that as soon as I see the update available on the device.

Thanks

Please tell me what I need to do on my Rose 250 that I have had for 1 year, because I don’t understand what this ‘‘early access’’ update means?! Should I wait for the 12th? It will be the official update then? Or should I install something now, especially since some people have had problems from what I’ve read. And what is the difference between the eraly access update and the official update, because I don’t understand

@SCHWARTZ

Early Access is Rose’s way of releasing an update and then wait for users to test it and see that all functions as intended.

Check this from 2 years ago - I wouldn’t say that things have changed much since

Personally, I always wait not only until the official update is released, but even a little time after that, just to make sure that - as it has happened on many occasions in the past - the update doesn’t create any other problem.

It doesn’t take a scientist or a business management consultant to conclude that both aspects are a consequence of an historical and structural lack of software engineering resources at HiFi Rose.

Thank you, now it’s clear :slight_smile:

Yup. Because useless crap is far more important than fixing long-standing bugs, let alone adding anything useful!!!

Early Access is disastrous. Nothing works. Needs to enter userid , password, and all other nonsensical info
Please broadcast stable software.

@FerGT
Version 5.10.02 has been re-released to address issues with editing the home menu. Updating to 5.10.02 should ensure normal operation after editing the home menu.
Thank you.

Its beta they need ginnipigs

It seems to be working now, at least for the time being. Five days without music. I won’t download anything again unless I’ve tested it. This has never happened to me in the three years I’ve had my computer.
Anyway, thanks Rosa_Amor

Can anyone provide insight into what this feature represents?

thanks!

This is very important: are you simply adding it for metadata editing, or are you actually using this anywhere in the UI? Because to have an SSD with 20,000+ songs and not have Album Artist as an option for sorting is problematic, to say the least.

Additionally, have you fixed the metadata issue that has the same artist appearing multiple times despite there being no substantive differences in the metadata? For instance: Ray Lamontagne, Ray LaMontagne and Ray La Montagne are all the same artist and should not display differently.

But you still haven’t fixed a Very Serious Flaw: choppy playback at high bitrates of 1.5 to 5 Mbps for FALC Masters. Choppy playback at no buffering for 2 minutes makes me want to turn not on my RS150B. :speak_no_evil:emphasized text

@Expletive
This does not apply when using a general USB DAC. For certain playback DACs, USB DAC recognition may take a long time, so the reconnection function is applied when set to ON.

Hello @Wolf
Please share the information below to further investigate the issue.

Also, please record a video of the issue and send it to us. This will help us analyze the cause.

Hi Alessandro. Welcome to HIFI ROSE.
Early access software versions, often part of an
Early Access Program (EAP) , are pre-release versions of software that are not yet generally available. They allow users to access a product during its development stages to test features, provide feedback, and help debug the game or application before the final, stable release. Expect problems.
If you don’t understand the nature of EAP then best avoid them.

Hello everyone!
HiFi Rose team, do you have an estimated release date for the official or final version?

Thanxs!

Eager for a software update? How ironic.

@eric.p

Thank you for your explanation, it very much chimes with and confirms what I wrote a few days ago here.

I am just not particularly sure what it is that you wanted to add up with your comment?

Hello Rose Team, I have installed and tested the actual EAP Software for my RS520 and haven‘t found any problems or bugs for me. My RS520 is running perfect and I can‘t complain anything. Instead of that I have the impression that the sound is becoming better than before. But it‘s not 100% verified. Nevertheless I‘m happy with.
