'Empty' tracks in my library

I have all my music on an SSD within an RS130.

When I search through my library using the Rose app on an iPad Air, many albums (perhaps all - with thousands of albums I haven’t checked all) appear twice in the music library.

When I check the file information, in one album the tracks appear as gthey should, with the correct sample rate and bit depth. But in the other album the tracks show as having a size and sample rate of 0. Obviously, if I try to play these albums, I get no music.

I have exactly the same tracks on a NAS attached to the network, and if play those use via JRiver or Roon from a laptop using DNLA to the RS130, I don’t have this problem. And I know that the files aren’t doubled up

Any explanation for why this happening, and how to correct it?

Thanks

Based on your description, this appears to be a database indexing or duplicate cache issue within RoseConnect when scanning the internal SSD. To help us narrow it down, please try the following steps:

  1. On your RS130, go to Settings → Storage → Rescan Library, and allow the system to complete a full scan.

  2. If the issue persists, please try clearing the music database by selecting Settings → System → Initialize Music DB, then rescan your internal SSD.

  3. Ensure that only the internal SSD is registered as a music source (remove NAS or USB sources temporarily) to avoid duplicate entries.

  4. Please confirm your current Rose OS version (Settings → System Info → System Version Info).
