Briefly about the problem:
I have been using the device for over a year.
I think that the advertised capabilities are greatly exaggerated, but I respect the developers.
The main problem is the terrible work of the built-in network card.
Many different tests were carried out, the adapter’s operation is very unstable up to the point of complete loss of connection.
This happens with both dynamic and static addresses.
I would like to immediately clarify that the network equipment is debugged and works extremely well (AP 22 HP ARUBA + Switch HP ARUBA 1930+Checkpoint 1570 Firewall )
if the information about the correct operation of the network raises doubts, I am ready to provide a connection for verification…
Various methods have been tried to fix the problem, including factory reset.
And another problem this time with video playback. In 4k it’s a pitiful sight, I had to lower the resolution to 1920108060 it works better, but jumps are visible every 5-10 seconds. The content is played from the internal 1TB SSD. It should be noted that after the release of updates, many things began to work better, but it is still very far from a perfectly working device.
Question: is it possible to use any USB to Lan adapter or is this problem solved in some other way?
On the positive side, I was very pleased with the support for Air Play2 , this is a new feature and it works well.
