If I connect an external Cd player (Oppo) will the 150b display album artwork?
No. An external CD player only sends an sp-dif signal (l+r+sync). Only of you use a USB cd or dvd drive and rip the cd it looks up the tags from the internet. The RS needs to read the metadata (tracks + length) to parse it through the database.
A USB optical drive costs $25 by the way. Or less. That way you can rip your cd’s, get the cover art, and never touch your cd’s again. Or worry about reading errors. You do need an SSD internal drive though.
