Failure in ripping

I place the CD into the Hifi Rose CD drive and tap the ripping icon. The artwork is found along with the track listings. I select the drive, Rose disk and then push the Rip and Confirm button. The artwork disappears and nothing happens.

I tap the Rip button again and it asks to insert the CD. So I try to eject the CD and there is no response. The only way I can eject the CD is to turn it off and on and then eject.

Some CDs will work correctly and some don’t.

Is there a remedy for the problem

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Could you please help us verify a few things?

  1. Does this issue occur with all CDs, or only with certain CDs?
  2. If you have another USB cable available, could you try connecting the RSA780 to your ROSE device using a different cable and check whether the same issue occurs?
  3. Have you configured a destination folder/path before starting the CD ripping process?

Also, could you please try following the procedure shown in the video below and let us know whether the same issue occurs?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The CD that would not rip and nor release the CD has now worked. This happened after a system and firmware update had been applied. However since then another CD that also failed to rip has been tried and again I could not eject the CD. A further attempt produced a message saying the CD drive was not connected. So although things have improved the niggling issues still persist.

Could you please help us confirm a few details?

  1. If you connect your RSA780 to a PC, are you still unable to eject the CD?
  2. When your RSA780 is connected to your ROSE device, does this issue occur with every CD, or does it only happen with certain CDs?
