Fiber Ethernet Not Working :(

Hi,

I bought the 2 items below and I am not pulling an IP with the Media Converter. I have no issues with the copper ethernet and the RS130.

I saw on another post a user had to get matching SFP for it to work. I have a Linksys router using COX ISP. Do I need to configure anything? Sorry I am not good with networking!

I use the 1gig fiber module from fs.com . Get the one gig version only.

Hi,

Unfortunately the SFP you mentioned are not compatible together. One side you have Monomode fiber and the other side you have a Multimodes fiber. You need to replace one SFP to get the same type on the both sides. And you need a right fiber optic link corresponding to the mode type you are choosing.

I can confirm that this works well on my RD160. fs.com is reputable and easy to deal with.
