Fixing Balanced analog output volume

Is there a way to fix the output on 150b so volume controlled only by preamp volume control? Does high volume output on 150b cause distortion such that I should keep output volume to my preamp lower to avoid distortion?

Hello,

Noise and distortion may happen if the input of signal from RS150B is higher than the limit of your amplifier allows.
You can fix volume in RS150B, so try this if still have distortion.

RS150B > In/Out Settings > Menu(gear button) > Pre-out level settings > Check on what you want. If you set as a low value, your RS150B will output in low volume.

Hi. My preamp has an input value of 2V, the optional outputs in balanced mode on the RS150b are from 100 mV to 6500 mV. Given that, and understanding that I am not technical, can you please recommend where i should set the 150b in terms of output to my preamp? If there is more than one option, can you advise what the trade-offs are for selecting one over another? Thanks.

Hello,

If your pre-amplifier has input sensitivity of 2V, 2000mV in RS150 will be good for you.
However, when this setting is ON, the volume can not be adjusted in RS150B.
