Graphic Equaliser

Received a rose 150b yesterday. I have b&w 8004 d3 speakers paired with Marantz MP10. The PM10 has no graphic equaliser and so doesn’t the 150b. Trouble is the 804 d3s have a very bright diamond tweeter.

Fortunately I also have a pair of sonus Fabre nova 1s. Connected them and got a very pleasant sound even though I don’t prefer bookshelves

How else can I adjust the treble on the 150b?

It seems if you switch off the preamp functionality the treble issue gets resolved.

Sounds like another software issue………?

I got rid of my B&W’s for that reason and replaced them with Audiovectors. I use Roon which has an excellent DSP and is worth every penny of its £80 per year. It’s an amazing bit of software I’m still finding really cool features after 3 years of use.

An Equalizer for the RS150 was demanded earlier - and is not available so far.
There is also no Treble or Bass function but I don’t see Rose here in charge to deliver something.
I use my speakers (Magico A5) in a plain mode (direct, without any DSP or Treble/EQ function in use) and they just sound perfect for me. Your setup is the same, but other gear and room.
B&W have that “shiny” diamond sounding in the high frequencies and (for me) a not very precise Bass (due to an open chassis). the PM-10 delivers the plain signal, that’s what Marantz meant to be the correct way (without any treble/Bass Control).
So if you don’t like the sound, your combo is not the right choice for your room/ears. this is bad luck for you.
The only solution would be, to have something like a MiniDSP between the Rose and your AMP. In there you could run a measuring and get proper Bass and Treble for your Room.
Consider also to do some acoustic treatments to your room.
