Hello again all,
There is conflicting information online and in some reviews regarding this.
Has the 150B got a USB Out plug/socket so I can connect to an external DAC?
Thanks to all again who chime in.

Many thanks AZWink. May I have your personal comments on the USB out to an external DAC if you use it this way? How is the sound? Is the connection stable? Which external DAC do you use?
Sorry, I don’t use it this way. I could run it through my Oppo UDP-205 which uses the same Sabre DAC but in a dual configuration.
Two points to be aware of: first, make sure you use the USB OUT and not the USB INput. Second, the Rose RS-150 has a very good DAC and I suspect you may have to spend a considerable bit of money to get a DAC which is significantly better. That being said, if you simply PREFER the sound of another DAC, there are any number of DACs at many price points to consider, but it would see to make sense to steer away from those which use the ESS Sabre DAC chips, since the sound would likely be similar. So that basically leaves whatever AKM based DACs are still available (after the plant fire), the Burr Brown DACs, the R2R DACs such as Denafrips or the FPGA DACs such as Chord. The best scenario would be if you already have a high end DAC which you really like; then you can try it for “free” and if you don’t like it better than the Rose’ DAC, you can easily go back to it for “free”.
Where is the USB out on the 150B? Is it the 3.0 USB? I do not see a dedicated USB out.
Yes, see the post of Tom T with the appropriate page from the owners manual. I use USB output to an external DAC.
I own the RS150 (first version) with USB connected to my external DAC, which is in my Soulution Audio 330 INT. This DAC is a bit superior vs. the internal AKM - but this might also be a personal taste.
I tried different other external DAC and all worked as expected.
Consider AES/EBU as an option to connect to an external DAC instead of USB (or I2S).
