HDMI Out w/Passthrough

Hi,

I was curious if anyone has had success in playing multichannel FLAC (5.1-7.1) or .mka (Atmos music files) files via the HDMI passthrough function to their avr? I can confirm the passthrough is active in my Rose 150b since it is passing some .mka files (from internal SSD) as 5.1 channel to my avr (no Atmos data). The majority of my .mka files, e.g. Roger Waters - “US + Them”, Hans Zimmer - “Live in Prague” do not play at all with the default player. They just return an error message. After I installed the VLC player and made it active, these examples did now play but only in 2 channel. None of my 5.1-7.1 FLAC files played as multichannel, only 2 channel. Are .mka and multichannel FLAC files supported via the passthrough function and if not, which specific file types are supported?

Thanks.
