Good day everyone. I connected my Rose RS 150b to the TV with an hdmi cable. What should I do so that the hdmi cable also transmits sound to the TV? I have a picture on the TV but no sound. Thank you.
Please check a few things.
- Do you hear sound before connecting RS150b and TV with HDMI cable?
If you hear sound, connect HDMI cable and do not need to set other settings in input/output settings.
- Is the port number you connected to HDMI port on TV and external input on TV the same?

Thanks for the answer, but my question is: Does the Rose RS150b also transmit sound to the TV via the hdmi output? Does it transmit both sound and image or just image? I connected an external hard drive to the USB port of the Rose. There is video material on the hard disk. When I play it on TV, I have a picture but no sound on TV. Thank you.
The RS 150B is a streamer/Dac -proceed to section 2-2-2-4. HDMI Passthrough in the manual.
you need to activate passthrough option, and your TV must be capable to decode the sound format within your video files.
