Headphone use over Dragonfly Copper

I would like to connect my headphones to the 520 and was thinking of using the new Dragonfly Copper for that. I am in doubt however, if it is any news since there is already an internal DAC.
Is there a better way to connect my headphones to the RS520?

Since you already have the Dragonfly that would be the easiest way to go. Be sure to enable the USB in the input / output settings.

Alternatively you will need an analog headphone amp connected to the preamp out if you want to hear the DAC internal to the 520.

It depends on your cans, but I wouldn’t use the Dragonfly as headphone amp with the RS520.
You’ve then control the volume through USB software volume and also I don’t see that the DAC in the Dragonfly is superior.
There are a lot of analogue Headphone Amps in the same or lower price range from topping, fiio, smsl,… which I would prefer and connect it to the analogue outputs.
