Hifi Rose RS 151 Does not have EQ? which Rose model has ? Suggest Please

Hello everyone i have ordered the RS 151 and i was thinking if it has EQ function but read somewhere here that it doesnt have it… if its true
what are my alternate options? which HIFI Rose device has EQ function?

It does not. For some incomprehensible reason, Rose had decided that “flagship”
devices do not need it. You’ll have to either equalize at the source (e.g. using Roon or Audirvana) or get 250 or 520 instead. Not like anyone could actually hear any difference in the line level output.

The RS151 is designed as a high-end reference network player, and its core philosophy is to deliver the most accurate and unaltered sound possible. For this reason, the device does not include an internal EQ (equalizer).

There are several reasons for this design choice:

  1. Pure Sound Fidelity
  • Applying EQ requires additional DSP (digital signal processing), which can alter the signal and reduce absolute fidelity. The RS151 avoids this in order to maintain a pure, transparent audio path.
  1. Shortest Signal Path
  • The RS151 is engineered with high-end DACs, precision clocking, and carefully isolated power circuitry. By excluding EQ, we ensure the shortest and cleanest possible signal path, preserving sound integrity.
  1. Audiophile Preferences
  • This product is intended for audiophiles who generally prefer the source material to be reproduced without coloration. For users who wish to shape the sound, external equipment such as pre-amplifiers, DSP processors, or room-correction systems can be integrated into the setup.
  1. Model Differentiation
  • Other HiFi Rose products (such as the RS520 or RS201A) do provide EQ functionality for users who want tonal adjustment. In contrast, reference-grade models like the RS150B, RS130, and RS151 are dedicated to offering the purest sound possible without internal modification.
