Thanks for posting this. For those of us whose German isn’t up to it, any chance of a quick summary?
Hello @Die_Bat,
You can turn on the translator in the YouTube video.
At first: Don’t trust this guy from sg akustik…
What he said: RS151 is better, but in details (without any sound description):
× more cpu power → faster reaction
× Android 12
× DAC more or less from the RS160
× bigger and better (in contrast and angle view) display
You’re absolutely right. He raves about every device, in this case, all Rose products. He must have gotten a nice discount and then sold each device at the original retail price.
It’s all just my guess.
I just wanted to post this for the owners of the 151 (there are already quite a few in the forum). Perhaps the owners of the 151 can provide information on how it performs in practical use, rather than what those funded advertising companies like sg akustik say.
Got mine 151 now since 4 days, coming from RS250A and running the nice piece with Buchardt A10.
Setup was super quick and easy.
Booting is fast, software stable, display is amazing. Love it
Now the subjective part…
For me, it feels like switching from HD to 4K.
I can hear stuff, I didn’t recognised before. Lot’s of details in the highs and mids and the bass kicks in tight. I’m a drummer and finally, in some recordings, like Wolfgang Haffner Island Life, the bass drum sounds real and full of volume.
Soundstage is tricky to describe and I still have to reset my ears. It’s different to the 250A.
So far, I’m amazed. I didn’t thought that such a improvement could be possible. I’ll keep the 151 for sure.
Maybe someone at Rose can fix the missing summertime, at least mine thinks it’s still winter.
