Hifi Rose RS151 | Low Quality HDMI Video Output?

Dear team,

Recently I wanted to use the Hifi Rose RS151’s HDMI OUTPUT function to play music video’s or movies that are on the internal SSD through Hifi Rose for the best quality.

However, when using the HDMI OUTPUT we notice that the video quality is worse than it’s original source. For example, I have some ripped Youtube Video’s (highest quality, I confirmed on my PC) and also Blu-Ray movies. When playing these video’s from the HDMI OUTPUT the quality is muffled and the image a lot darker. Even simply using the Youtube app on the TV is better.

I have changed the vide output settings in the menu (display) to maximum 4k quality, didn’t change it.

What could this be?
Thank you!

Thank you for your report. Could you please answer a couple of questions for us?

  1. On your RS151, when you open RoseTube, click the gear icon in the lower-left corner. Is the video quality set to the highest available resolution?
  2. When connecting your RS151 to your TV via HDMI, have you tried using a different HDMI cable? If so, does the same issue still occur?
