Hi all, due to nice reports and fair price i’m thinking abt. Holo Audio Cyan 2 for my RS130.
Would prefer I2s and some upsampling can do the RS130.
Any ideas ?

If the budget allows it, I would pair the fantastic 130 with the LAiV Harmony, it is a stellar pairing, or alternatively the Denafrips Pontus 15th. Cyan 2 is an excellent machine for its cost but it performs well if connected to a PC and using HQ player
Hi Christian, what are you using now?
I have found the USB via RSA720 Fiber connection significantly outperforms the I2S. With my Holo May KTE on I2S the PLL was an issue re: delays in locking. USB sounds better and has better UX. YMMV
Today mx RS130 ist connected via Coax direct in my PRIMARE SPA25 AVR-Receiver.
PRIMARE is using internally the ESS9026 Pro DAC chipset.
Holo Audio Cyan 2 arrived yesterday and is in progress since 1h.
I2s connection with RS130 A-Mode is fine.
I‘m fine, let the combo learn each other ….
I2s: Check with the test tones the correct correspondence in both PCM and DSD of the L/R channels. Furthermore, it must be checked whether the phase is correct. Often we don’t realize that the signal is not the right and compatible one.
Which test tones you mean and where to configure the test ?
There are test discs for appropriate checks, they are valid. However, if there is an inversion of the channels you can also check it with a song you know.
To make things easier for you, I suggest you want to compare PCM songs and DSD songs first using the USB then the same songs with the I2S. It must all be exactly the same as usb when using I2s. You can’t go wrong.
i2S doesn’t work from the 130 to Pontus 15th
I don’t have the Pontus
