Q)
How much capacity is the storage device available?

A)
I tested an external hard drive for USB (10T HDD * 8 EA) = 80TB with a separate power supply.
If you fill 80TB of sound source (approximately 300,000 CDs-over 3 million CDs based on FLAC quality of CD sound), it is a huge capacity. (About 2-300M Bytes per CD)
So it’s physically connected and working, but you can’t guarantee the speed.

However, as the number of built-in sound sources increases, it takes a lot of time to scan the media database, and if the number of albums exceeds 30,000, time may be delayed when loading the initial app.

In general, the app works well without a big burden for about 10,000 to 20,000 albums (about 200,000 songs), and if there are more than this, additional loading time may occur.

We are testing based on a database of about 200,000 songs.

There is no problem with using the HDD as well, but after entering the Sleep Mode, you have to wait for the wake up time.
To prevent this, you can also disable entering Sleep in Settings.
Also, there is a problem that a little noise is generated.

Although ssd is advantageous in various aspects such as speed and noise, it is a problem because it is expensive.

Also, we tested SSD up to 4TB no problem.
