Hmm, i don’t know what is the right way …
My old amp had a headphone Jack. But it is missing on my RS 520.
So i ordered a topping dx5 ii headphone amp. When it’s connected via USB/Spdif and change the output internal to USB/Spdif there is no signal to topping. Input in topping is set to USB/Spdif/All to accept all incoming signals. But obviously i did somethin wrong? There is no Signal coming to the headphone jack.
any ideas?
To export digital output, you must enable the output mode as OPT OUT or COAX OUT in the Input/Output Settings.

After connecting the external USB DAC to the USB 3.0 port on the 520, you must enable the output device as an external USB DAC in the Input/Output Settings.
Thank You! USB 3.0 was the key… i took the wrong one. Optical isn‘t working. Or i have to change something Else ….
The optical out (TOSLINK) does work.
I tested this w my MB20 and used it for BT out and paired w a pair of BT headphones.
I currently have the MB20 via TOSLINK in to provide a better BT than the dongle and I’m also using a CAT 8 ethernet connection instead of WiFi.
COAX is the single RCA jack in/out combo.
