How to Connect to AV Processor

If I connect analog out channels from RS250 to my HT AV processor, then how does the Video for Rose Tube get driven.
Do I need to connect the HDMI from RS250 to AV processor in addition to analog outputs or just use the HDMI to drive audio and video?

thank you in advance.

I am using a Marantz 8802-A home theater preamp/processor with my 150. I connected them using two HDMI cables. The one from my 150’s “ARC” port goes to the 8802’s second Monitor port. The other from the 150s “HDMI” port goes to the HDMI port labeled “Media Player” on my 8802 (or it might be the reverse, I always get the 150s two HSMI ports confused).

My 8802 is almost 10 years old, so having the 150’s D/A converter do the work should give better sound. So I also connected the 150 RCA’s outs to the 8802s Media Play RCA inputs. Some day I’ll change the 150s output settings to turn on its RCA out’s and see if I can hear any difference.

Good luck

To benefit of the Rose’s DAC (RS150B) and a better sound, I have connect both, RCA and HDMI from the Rose to my processor (Marantz AV7705). When I listen to video music from Rosetub, I choose on the processor the RCA input where the Rose is connected , and then I can associate the video input that I want, so I choose HDMI input corresponding on the processor. Note, that once the association audio-video input is set, you don’t have to do it again, until you want to change for an other input.
When you listen only to music from the Rose, let say a track from your collection, the album and info are displayed on the TV screen.

Hope this help a bit, good luck

Thank you Plamf, that is exactly what I was looking for.
Device should arrive this Friday, hoping i can figure out how to make these selections correctly on my processor, but i now know that plan will be to run HDMI and Audio cables.
thank you again.

Thanks Pesto_Sauce.
I am getting the RS250 which does not ave ARC ports that the RS150 does.
Although I must admit that It has me confused to send monitor output from 8802a to the Rose ARC input. But wont overthink it, since this is not an option for me.
I had the 8802a previously, and it was very good unit.
thank you for taking the time to help.

plamf, what do you mean by the choosing the “RCA entree”, or the “video entree”, etc.? Do you perhaps mean you chose the RCA option?

Sorry my french got over me.
I should have say “RCA input” / “HDMI input”.
Those inputs where the Rose are connected to the processor.

*I have corrected my first post.

Thanks plamf. I’m sure your French is better than mine.

just received the streamer today. extremely pleased with the audio quality…
Going to certainly need to spend some time sorting out all the settings but question for right now, I only get album art displayed on my TV. I do not get the rose tube video on my TV. it just plays on the local Rose display.

  1. Should i be able to get the video to my tv?
  2. If yes, (hopefully), any chance it might also mirror the local display at the tv?
I have the R250, and its display is way to small in its location to operate from remote control and local screen.
I have installed the app on my devices and its functional, but having the OS on the TV would be pretty cool.
    thanks for any assistance.

Yes you should be.
I have de RS150b, but de RS250 is very similaire. Be sure to turn on the switch that is on the right top corner. At off position the switch is like this :

Click on it to turn it on.
The same feature is in the apps, also at the right corner.

I also missed it the first time. It is very small and my sight is not perfect. It took me long minutes to find it.

Having RoseConnect app on Apple TV would be great.
