Hello fellows I’m using Synology NAS and trying wirelessly to move my music over to newly installed internal Samsung SSD in RS520 but no luck. I do not have a computer so how might I do it; what are my options?
On Synology NAS you can setup a sync whereby music on your NAS is synced with the Rose internal SSD using the Synology “Cloud Sync” app. Make sure you set up a WebDAV account (username and password) on your Rose to allow your NAS to remotley login.
You will need a tablet or something to allow a web session through a browser to log into your NAS to setup the “Cloud Sync” WebDAV sync.
Had it running for around a year now - easiest way to have the internal SSD updated with any new music. Of course you will have to do a DB rescan for full search functionality on the Rose, but will have immediate access through the ROSE folders view.
e.g. For CD quality files:
- NAS: /Music/Music Library/CD
- ROSE: /ROSEDISK/Music Library/CD
I have folders on NAS/ROSE synced with “MQA”, “CD”, “FLAC HiRes” and have three sync tasks setup under “Cloud Sync”.
