How to use SFM connection and recommended gear

Using the RS130 id like to install a box that converts the copper ethernet to fiber just before the Rose. Can someone explain what items you need and recommend a good choice in brand etc? Not sure what to search for
Thanks

@paqua

RS130 does not support SFP+ modules.
The ports on RS130 are for SFP only. The maximum throughput of RS130 is 1Gbit/s.
We do not sell fiber USB ports separately. When you purchase the RSA720, a fiber USB port is included.
If you want to purchase only the fiber USB port, you will need to search the web.

The models below are a list of SFP optical modules tested by Hifi Rose.

  1. iptime: SFP-SMF1G
  2. Link-PP: LS-MM8524-S5DC
  3. POTRON: SFP134C-ELE1
  4. NEXT: NEXT-SFP10G-LR

Thanks very much, is there a Fiber Media converter you recommend? I need a converter to run the RJ45 cable to and convert it to Fiber coming out of the box

@ROSEHAN I’m confused ! You have stated in numerous posts that RS130 does NOT support SFP+ modules, but you mention here that the NEXT-SFP10G-LR ‘has been tested’ by Hifi Rose… Eventhough it is a SFP+ module, I guess you mean it was ‘successfully’ (or not) ? Can you clarify in which SFP slot please ? In the Ethernet slot, or the USB slot ?

UPDATE : I DID replace today the simplex SFP modules and fiber provided by Hifirose for the RS130 to RS720 USB connection by DUPLEX SFP+ modules and fiber… It works fine, confirming that this USB port is SFP+ !
