On the other hand, it is probably not advisable to talk about such things openly because they all like to operate in protected markets. Something normal workers do not get/have, protection from cheaper competition that is.
I was not even served - it was not a question of price. This is unfortunately standard in Switzerland (Markt protection).
But if you buy a mercedes - you can go in any garage worldwide, and they would care about a spare item.
A distributor is mainly to represent the brand and not to protect their dealers.
I live next to the German Border so I asked my dealer there - and no problem.
And no need to say, that the products are much more expensive here in CH than in EU.
and as a customer, I can buy my stuff where I wherever I want.
