I2S and DSD512 files

I just received the 130 today and connected it to my topping dx9 dac. I used a short hdmi (8K if that means anything!). It connected via the A mode without any issues until I tried to play back some DSD512 files via the usb stick in the back. It scans and finds the files but just plays back noise.
I couldn’t get the B mode to work with my I2S/DAC combo. It seems like the B mode supported higher resolutions when I selected it but it would not play any music (PCM or DSD).
I also noticed that there doesn’t seem to be any sub menus for the I2S output. I should be getting a USB cable shortly and will check to see how that goes. It does look like there is the sub menu for USB.
thanks for any suggestions,
jp

Did it work for you with lower dsd resolutions?
I had the same with dsd256. Now I have an usb cable, which ‘solved’ the issue.

I only had dsd512 files. It actually worked one time randomly on I2S but could not get it to work consistently.
As you mentioned, when I switched to USB, it worked properly and consistently.
Did you notice if you had the settings option for the I2S input? It should be a sub menu that allows changes to sampling and dsd options.

Yes, there’s an option to choose between two I2S settings. One of which (A) is the PS Audio Standard, applicable to my dac. Everything played fine, except for the higher resolution dsd files.

The 130 has 2 settings, A and B mode. My topping dx9 has several IIS (I2S) settings. I tried all combinations but only the A mode worked consistently. As others have mentioned, this seems to be limited to dsd256.
USB plays all files without issue.
I2S plays all files except dsd512 without issue.

I am curious if anyone is using B mode on the 130 as that seems to support DSD 512 (or at least it displays the associated 22mhz)
Also, can anyone verify if the submenus are missing from the I2S output settings? Were they there in previous releases?
